Book Your Appointment
Secure your tattoo or piercing appointment with our skilled artists.
Make the most of your session with these helpful tips before, during, and after your appointment.
Before Your Tattoo or Piercing Session
1. Eat well: Have a full meal beforehand to avoid dizziness or fainting.
2. Stay hydrated: Drink lots of water the day before and day of your session.
3. Avoid alcohol or caffeine: They thin your blood and increase bleeding.
4. Wear comfy clothes: Ensure easy access to the area being worked on.
5. Sleep well: A good night’s sleep helps your body handle pain better.
During Your Session
1. Relax: Breathe steadily and stay calm — you’re in safe hands.
2. Distract yourself: Bring a friend, music or something to watch/listen to.
3. Speak up: Let the artist know if you need a break or feel unwell.
4. Stay still: Sudden movements can affect the result or cause injury.
After Your Session
1. Follow instructions: Always stick to the aftercare advice given by your artist.
2. Ask if unsure: Contact artist for any concerns or signs of infection.
Tattoo & Piercing Aftercare
Proper aftercare is essential for ensuring your tattoo or piercing heals properly. Follow these instructions carefully to maintain the quality of your ink and piercing.
Tattoo Aftercare
Proper aftercare is essential for allowing your tattoo to heal properly
and maintaining the quality of your tattoo.
1. Remove the bandage
Leave the wrap on for at least 6 hours after getting your tattoo,
unless your artist has given you different instructions.
2. Gently wash
Wash your hands before touching your tattoo. Gently wash the tattoo
with Sensitive Dove soap and lukewarm water. Do not scrub the area
or use a rough cloth.
3. Gently pat dry
Pat the tattoo dry using a clean disposable paper towel.
Do not rub the tattoo.
4. Apply aftercare cream
Once the tattoo is dry, apply a small amount of the
Vicious Inks aqua-based aftercare cream.
Use a thin layer and avoid applying too much product.
5. Continue until fully healed
Continue washing, drying and moisturising your tattoo throughout
the healing process.
6. Avoid during healing
Do not pick, scratch or peel the tattoo.
Do not submerge the tattoo in water. Avoid swimming, baths and prolonged soaking.
Avoid direct sunlight while the tattoo is healing.
Avoid unnecessary touching of the tattoo.
Do not apply products that have not been recommended by your artist.
Body Piercing Aftercare
Proper aftercare is critical for allowing your piercing to heal properly
and reducing the risk of irritation or complications.
Cleaning Instructions for Body Piercings
1. Wash your hands
Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching or cleaning your piercing.
2. Apply the wound spray
Apply the Vicious Inks wound spray to the piercing
and surrounding area twice daily.
3. Allow it to dry
Allow the piercing to air dry naturally where possible. If necessary,
gently pat the area dry using a clean disposable paper towel.
4. Leave the jewellery alone
Do not twist, rotate, pull or unnecessarily move the jewellery while
the piercing is healing. Avoid touching the piercing unless you are cleaning it.
5. Avoid during healing
Do not pick or remove crusting.
Do not use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide or other harsh products.
Do not apply creams or ointments unless specifically recommended.
Avoid swimming and prolonged soaking while the piercing is healing.
Do not remove or change the jewellery prematurely.
Mouth Piercing Aftercare
Proper aftercare is essential for allowing your mouth piercing to heal
properly and reducing the risk of irritation or complications.
Cleaning Instructions for Mouth Piercings
1. Maintain good oral hygiene
Brush your teeth gently and regularly to keep your mouth clean.
Rinse your mouth with an alcohol-free mouthwash
or an appropriate saline solution after eating and drinking.
2. Rinse after meals
Rinse your mouth with clean water or an alcohol-free mouthwash
after meals to help keep the area clean.
3. Leave the jewellery alone
Do not touch, twist, pull or play with the jewellery using your
tongue or fingers. Unnecessary movement can irritate the piercing
and delay healing.
4. Be careful when eating
Take smaller bites and eat carefully during the initial healing
period. Avoid foods that cause excessive irritation to the piercing.
5. Avoid during healing
Avoid alcohol-based mouthwash.
Avoid smoking and vaping while the piercing is healing.
Avoid alcohol as long as possible during the initial healing period.
Avoid very spicy, acidic or irritating foods if they cause discomfort.
Do not play with or unnecessarily move the jewellery.
Avoid oral contact with the piercing while it is healing.
Do not use hydrogen peroxide or other harsh products on the piercing.
6. Monitor the piercing
Some swelling, tenderness and sensitivity can occur during the
initial healing period. If you experience severe or worsening pain,
significant swelling, spreading redness, unusual discharge, fever
or other concerning symptoms, seek advice from a qualified
healthcare professional.
